Is this what you are looking for?

Everything is now USB so there is a USB adaptor for everything!

The USB to Serial cables may not support all transmission formats - it depends what device you need to connect.

I have used ONE OF THESE FOR OVER A YEAR WITHOUT PROBLEMS.

Hello,
my fe31z has a express-card and a pc-card slot.
what is the different?

when i will use a seriell adapter, which slot i have to use for best results?

Do the card-slot converters work with software that runs in a DOS environment? I have a USB converter and the software (Icom) just can't see the port (works fine under XP though).

PC Express Card is the smaller hole on the side of your VAIO with a cover that you pull out. It accomodates sonys card reader but not much else.

The PCIMIA Card slot is the one with a button next to it and accomodates all notebook adaptors ie. network cards and extra USB ports.

Hope this helps
