Just got me a 40GB Vaio - very shiny. I've run the firmware update (version 3.0.0.C171F), got the latest version of sonicstage (version 2.3.00.11020) and the Vaio transfer wizard (version 1.2.00) but i still can't get sonicstage or the transfer wizard to allow native mp3 support.
Is there somethign REALLY obvious I'm missing? If so, could you tell me in a way that makes me look less stupid?
Cheers in advance

You cannot convert to MP3 using SonicStage, you can only transfer files that are already in MP3 format!
So if you want to rip (record) some music from a CD into MP3, then put it on your vaio, you will have to rip using another media player, like Windows Media Player, or iTunes!
Hope tis helps
I didn't say i wanted to convert to mp3. The point is I have a large collection of mp3's I don't want converted into anything other than mp3. Sonicstage is being rather stubborn about it. Any ideas on how to save the mp3s to the Vaio using sonicstage? ( considering the second screenshot i posted earlier )
well if you have SonicStage 2.3 you should just be able to Import the MP3 files from a folder on your computer and then transfer them straight to your vaio (this is how it works for me)
