T1XP DVD/CD drive problem

Jus recieved my new T1XP and must say I am very pleased with it, just one problem. When playing certain DVD's or CD's there is a vibration noise coming from the drive, if I manipulate it, the noise stops - so far out of about 10 discs I am getting the vibration from 3 of them?? Does this indicate the discs in question are perhaps twisted and vibrating as they spin or is this a problem with the drive?? It's brand new so of course I expect it to be perfect. Any advice would be very welcome

Dave

Hi, good morning

Yep, same problem. It comes, if the drive works with nearly max. speed.
Use that tool . With this tool you can change the RPM.:smileywink:

OK thanks for this, so this tool will regulate the speed of the drive??
So is this a fault? Or something we need to live with?

Any other niggles? Is it a T1XP you have??

Thanks

Dave

No, I have a PCG-FR315S and I have this problem since I have bought my Labtop. But I have this problem only with some disks.

Yes you can regulate the drive speed with this tool.

But I use this only, if the drive vibrate.

I think imbalanced discs cause the problem.
