Hi xcodgex,

The Serial Number you quote is a valid Vaio number.  I presume the reason you cannot Register it is because it is no longer a current model and no longer within Warranty as it must be more than 12 months old..

I expect Vaio Support can register it to you if you wish but you will need to contact them on the out-of-warranty premium phone line 0905 0310006.

Having established your Serial Number is valid, I have removed it from the open forum so nobody else can use it for anything.
