Micro SDHC card

My inbuilt memory stick reader on SonyVaio VGN-S4z wont read a 16gb microSDHC card.it wont even recognise that a card is there,but will read any others i put in,any ideas would be nice.Is it a software upgrade or a new device wanted.please help

It is a hardware issue.

The SD slot in your Vaio does not support SDHC cards.
