Hi strumpetsandcream and welcome to Club Vaio.

Try this: -

1. Start -> Type 'Vaio Recovery Utility' in the Search and open it.
2. At the opening screen click on "OPTIONS" at the bottom.
3. On the next screen choose "Reinstall Applications that were Preinstalled"
4. Yes -> Yes
5. Choose DVgate plus from the list and reinstall it.
