Hi all
Having a little bit of trouble with temperatures on my AR-31S.
I am using CoreTemp found Here
and am getting 60 degrees results on both cores, sometimes pushing 70.
I have also used speedfan found Here and that returns only a core 0 and core 1 temp of around 45 degrees.
PCWizard found Here returns more alarming results found below....
It really is very hot at the back of my machine. Has anyone else had this problem?
Cheers Blencogo
Mind you at least a7med and myself will always have warm fingers LOL. I can feel the heat coming through the keyboard which surely can't be good
That GPU is 4Billion Degrees!!!! Thats hotter than the sun!!!
Intel Core2Duo Processors will happly work up to a temperature of 78Degrees C. When it reaches this magical temp you computer will turn off so unless it shoots up very suddenly you will be fine and it'll never be damaged. Intel processors are known to run much hotter then AMD's.
My advice is don't worry about it because it can take care of itself. If you are worried, blow a fan into the vent and that soon cools it down.
LOL cheers Matt.
Yeah I guess there's a glitch in the pc wizard reporting on that statistic. What I can't work out is the difference in temp between 3 of the same models. I'm getting a bit fed up of having to sit in speedos while using the Ar with the servants fanning me.
It is probably to do with the SpeedStep function that lowers the frequency of your processor when its not under much load. It is possible that the clocks vary slightly because it is very difficult to make two identical processors.
Here is a video from TomsHarware that shows how Intel processors cope when it gets too hot. Its very good...Here You will need DivX to play it
Have Fun
Excellent video Matt - thank God we don't have AMD processors LOL
So basically processor temp is not a huge issue it cools itself by slowing down or turning off but AMD's just catch fire!!!
Those of you with higher temperatures than 78degrees will probably have a thermal diode that is either in the wrong place or you motherboard is no relaying the information to the program properly.
Try using SIW to view you temps and see if you get a nicer reading. Excellent program with no installation required.
Can some one with the 4 billion Degrees GPU post some details because i have emailed the people at pc Wizard so they can fix the bug.
They require-
- Tools->Hardware Registers Dump
- Tools->Bios Dump->Video Bios
If you could attach the files to a post or pm me Thanks
PM sent
Hmm will have to do this test sometime, I'm busy at the moment but I don't think it's as high as yours Jumpy
No worries Kee-Lo
The SIW application reports the same temps as PC Wizard currently.
