Hi all
Having a little bit of trouble with temperatures on my AR-31S.
I am using CoreTemp found Here
and am getting 60 degrees results on both cores, sometimes pushing 70.
I have also used speedfan found Here and that returns only a core 0 and core 1 temp of around 45 degrees.
PCWizard found Here returns more alarming results found below....
It really is very hot at the back of my machine. Has anyone else had this problem?
I have this problem from time to time on my AR21S but, this happens because the ventilation of the laptop might be blocked by something even abit of it, it usually cools down after i put it in a well ventilated place, try putting your laptop on a cold surface or a well cooled area. Make sure theres no dust clogged up in the vents.
Thanks for that
I keep it in a well ventilated area with nothing surrounding it,and the grills aren't clogged.
I think it's just about getting to a high point, but I'm not suprised it's getting that hot.
It has been like this since day 1 and even after a complete re-install. if anyone witrh this model fancies using the above applications and comparing results that would be brilliant.
Mobmeter sadly isn't compatible with Vista but at least we have 3 alternatives, with pc wizard looking the most in depth at the moment.

I just downloaded PC Wizard and ran it on my AR21S. I'm a little concerned about my GPU temp.
Thanks Rich and Jumbles. There's a heck of a diference between Rich's and our results.
Is yours really pumping the heat out at the back too Jumbles?
you guys are not alone my AR21S seems to be hotter than boths of urs....my vents are pretty hot
The bttom of my laptop is hot on the right hand side the left is pretty cool, how about u guys
By the aerial socket is much hotter than anywhere else though I wouldn't call it excessive. There's a post somewhere with pictures of the inside of an AR21S but I can't find it so I don't know what's in that corner. It might just be the heatsink output as there's a grill there.
Mine is always running on mains power so I don't know if that makes any difference.
At least I'm not alone with the crazy GPU temp.
