Hey y'all.
Had my Vaio Pocket since xmas now and still not worked out how to take music back off the player to the computer i originally put it on from. There are loadsa songs on my player I want put onto my PC but i have no idea how as everytime i hit "transfer to library" the song just disappears for good with no trace left on my PC. it sed you would be able to transfer back as long as it was back to the same PC you put the music on from in the first place, so why can't i do it!!! Can someone who knows tell me how to do it!!
Cheeeers
I have the same problem.
Waiting for an answer.........
Hi Will
Welcome to the forum:smileygrin:
Have you checked to see if there are any updates for Sonic Stage at Vaio-Link? It may be that that particular problem has been addressed with a patch.
This may seem an obvious one, but under XP you must be logged in with administrator rights in order for the music transfer to work.
It doesn't matter that your user has Admin. permissions?
Jesssus...
yeh im able to press the transfer to library button but the song just disappears and i have admin rights etc. ne other ideas?
Which software are you using for the transfer and in what format are the files.
Scraping the bottom of the barrel here, but is your USB cable connected directly or via a hub?
wots a hub!? using sonic stage newest version, everythin is updated on pc and on Vaio. i always put mp3s into atrac+.
I asked this question because ATRAC format files (extension "oma" or "omg") cannot be transferred with the "VAIO music transfer" software, you must use Sonic Stage. I just wondered if this was the problem.
If you need to ask what a hub is then I doubt that you are using one. A USB hub is an appliance that is plugged in to a single USB port to which you can then attach multiple USB devices.
