E-support activation

Hi,
I want to activate the 2yrs warranty I purchased so I've just registered for e-support. The problem is despite filling everything in about 2 hours ago I've still not received the activation email so not only can I not activate my e-support account I can't register the 2 yrs extended warranty I've paid for. It wasn't cheap and I'll be very annoyed if I can't activate the warranty just because I've not had any response from sony support.

Not only that but when i typed in the new warranty code during e-support registration i was told the warranty activation had failed and someone from Sony support would email me. Again, i'm still waiting for that email.

What can i do???

The E-Support is sloooooooooow. I registered a new case two days ago and I haven't heard from them yet! I'd keep waiting just a little bit longer.

Give them a call on Monday when they open next. This is the best way to get faster support.

Thanks, finally got the activation email but the site was down for maintenance last night and I still can't get on it today. Oh how I love modern technology. :cry:

It just gets better and better.
Now i've logged on, tried to register my laptop and it doesn't recognise my serial number despite it being on the bottom of this laptop and in the VAIO control centre. I bought this brand new from a Sony Centre and I can't even register my laptop to add the extended warranty!!!!! This is becoming very annoying.

Are you using Firefox? I had lots of problems trying to register a couple of laptops while I was using Firefox. If you are, try using Internet Explorer and see if that helps.

welcome to Club Vaio

This has happened to me before, give Vaio-link a call and ask them to add your serial number to the database..

Once they've done that you can register your Vaio.. :wink:

Currently using IE6 but thanks to everyone for the info. I'll guve them a call tomorrow and get things sorted. Any problems then no doubt I'll be back here complaining.
