Sony HT-ST5000 soundbar doesnt work
I have big issues with my Philips 65oled854 and sony ht-st5000 soundbar.
When turning on the tv the soundbar also should power on because of HDMI CEC, but that is not the case. 1 out of 20 times it works.
Newest software on TV and soundbar.
Is there a way to fix this? I thought hdmi cec was standard! It is called easylink on philips and yes it is enabled.
The soundbar works great with nvidia shied. Hdmi cec works perfectly. I turn on the nvidia shield and soundbar switches input.
Any way to debug this?

I believe turning on the soundbar should turn the TV On, not the other way around?
That said, make sure it is enabled using the steps in the Manual (page 52, "Control for HDMI").

That doesnt work either. So something must be wrong here.
Control for hdmi is enabled.

Do you happen to have anything else connected to either of them that uses HDMI? If yes, try removing everything and just use the soundbar and TV and see if that solves the issue.
I've seen some users reporting that some devices cause interference, maybe you have a similar thing going on?

Hello. I have tried that as well. Disconnected everything. I also tried all HDMI ports on the TV that supports ARC.

Hey there ^^, I suggest resetting the soundbar as described on the Manual page 71: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/res/manuals/4687/177e67ef0b6478b983b4b6190e14b9c1/46878383M..., then make sure the HDMI control is enabled and try a power cycle by unplugging everything from the mains. Try to turn the devices using the remote of the soundbar first and see what happens. Let us know if that worked ^^
