Made in Japan - radiation?

Hi,

I bought a  CyberShot DSC-HX5V and noticed that it was made in Japan. Is it possible to get information about where in Japan it was made and is there any danger that the camera or some of the parts have been exposed to radioactive dust or other radiation sources (I'm thinking of Fukushima).

To your specific question, since the incident at Fukushima all Sony products on sale in the UK have been imported through a port or airport where the authorities have instigated screening for products from Japan.

As you would expect, these tests are being conducted in accordance with the appropriate European regulations and safety levels and there have been no instances to date of contamination of Sony products.
