First post - hoping I'm putting it in the right place!
So, my PS5 worked great on my old Sony OLED. I've just swapped to a Bravia 7 and while all the other inputs look fine, the PS5 colours are really washed out and faded.
After a bit of Googling, I know this can be a common issue but I can't figure out how to fix it! So far I've tried:
• Unplugging everything and plugging in again.
• Trying a different HDMI cable.
On the PS5:
• Trying HDR On, and On When Supported
• Trying Deep Colour Output off, and trying it on Automatic. (Currently on Automatic.)
• Trying the various RGB Range settings. (Currently on Automatic.)
No luck. If I swap from Game mode to something else, the colours improve but it gets unplayably laggy.
Any advice would be really appreciated!
Check your firmware version if its v112.626.100.1 dated 11.09.24 your pretty much screwed until sony decide to issue the fix for that broken firmware in europe. America has already recieved it over a month ago plus another update which drastically improves the tv's performance.
you can check:

and

which documents all that is broken including game mode washing out. Not just for Ps5 but pc gaming too.
I along with others have already raised tickets concerning this firmware.
The standard response from sony, is stick your head in the sand and wait until we can be bothered to fix it.
Ah, you star. Was hoping for a quick fix, but at least I know I can stop fiddling with all the settings now!
I'll see if I can raise a ticket to complain too - seems daft that all my non-Sony inputs work great on the TV, and it's the PlayStation that isn't happy!
Unfortunately for my case its not just pc game mode washing out.
On any source gamma, black adj, adv contrast enhancer, live colour have no function.
Im also coming to the conclusion that reality creation, random noise, digital noise and motion are not functioning correctly either.
