Sony A7Riii AF Micro Adjust

Hello. I am trying to check the AF of my camera when a Sony FE 24-105 G OSS lens is attached. In camera setting 1 page 8/14 AF Micro Adj >> AF Adjustment Set - On >> Amount - I get a message on the camera screen "! Lens Invalid with this lens". Both lens and camera are new. Does anyone know why this happens? I carried out this exercise on my A77ii camera with a number of lenses and I had no problem.

Hey, the AF Micro Adj allows you to adjust the auto-focusing position and register an adjusted value for each lens when using A-mount lenses with an LA-EA2 or LA-EA4 Mount Adaptor. The lens that you're currently trying to use is an E-mount lens, that's why it's coming up with that error.

Hi. I bought the A7Riii camera and adaptor LA-EA54 from Wex store in Edinburgh during an exhibition where I spoke to a Sony representative and advised to buy the LA-EA5 adaptor to use my A-mount lenses. Apparently, Sony has stopped manufacturing the LA-EA4 adaptor and the adaptor I have greys out the micro adjust option in the camera menu. The e-mount lens I have works fine and Wex explained the reason why the micro adjust option is greyed out while using the lens and I accept that. Thanks for getting back to me on this issue.
