On a number of pages for cameras on the Sony web site there is the following banner advert:
http://www.sony.co.uk/eu/res/images/image/09/1237492944909.jpg
For example it is on the pages for the HX400, RX10 and RX100.
http://www.sony.co.uk/buy/dsc-rx10
The banner shows a picture of the Sony A6000 camera (ilce-6000) with the words "Use voucher code DISUMMER2014 and save up to £200*"
However, when I phoned up Sony sales to find out how much discount there was on the A6000 I was told that there was none and that there had not been any. (So it cannot have sold out available stock.)
Showing a picture of a specific camera together with claims of a discount and not having or had any discount on this camera at all is false advertising.
Can someone from Sony please let me know when this is rectified and how much discount should be applied to the Sony A6000 as part of this campaign.
I note that there is a cashback campaign in France which includes the A6000 (100 Euros).
Hi Gary. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Unfortunately the ILCE-6000 is not part of this promotion and our team are working on changing this advert as soon as possible.
Hi
I see that this has now been rectified.
Do you know if the previous promotion photo indicated an upcoming Sony offer for the A6000?
Thanks
Gary
