I have an old DSLR-A300 which doesn't get much use these days.
However, I got it out for Christmas and charged it up.
Unfortunately, the pictures I have taken in auto mode are all very dark. The LCD display image looks fine but the final picture is very dark. The pictures are all indoors with reasonable light.
I have checked all the settings and they all look OK but I am happy to try changing something or is it more or a camera issue.
PS i have tried changing the lens which, maybe not surprisingly, made no difference.
Welcome any advice.
Andy
hello @AndyHayward
can you describe the settings you have? ie apperture . shutter speed and iso?
does it happen if you are on AUTO mode?
Hi,
I had everything on auto for this.
Have been into the menu and cant see anything obvious (to the untrained eye)!
Andy
Hey @AndyHayward. If a picture is taken while using the flash, bear in mind that if the subject is beyond the flash range, the picture will be dark because the flash light doesn't reach the subject as well as if the ISO settings on the camera were changed, this will also affect the luminosity of the picture as specified here in page 80. I hope this helps
Hi Andy, nice to meet you.
Can you upload a pic where we can see the issue?
The best should be if you upload a JPG as out of the camera
Yea a high quality pic would help up to check this one better. Anyway, hopefully it's already resolved by now!
🤔?
