Can you describe the shooting mode your using when you notice poor performance? Please give as full a description as possible.

me too. exact same problem - just bought an used a65 yesterday to replace my a33 and after seeing the results, can't go back.  using latest firmware v1.07 

but jpeg processing took 20-30 seconds per shot!  i was 1st afraid i'd bought a clunker, but after finding this thread and playing with settings, i found it only happens with jpeg only setting, both fine or std - processing is instantaneous (as it should be) with raw or raw+jpeg so since the h/w is working on raw it must be a s/w bug converting to jpeg.

so until sony fixes this i'll just have to waste sd card space.
