I got the camera two days ago and it seems it recognise the code but doesn't allow me to register it
I was reading somewhere that Amazon may not be an approved Sony retailer, (you may need to look at the small print.) I have no idea if this is the cause or if it is true. Allegedly, Sony won't honour cash back offers if a product was bought from Amazon.
It's not the retailer, it's probably the model number, try using "ILCE-6400" without quotes. Should work just fine.
If it's any help. I registered the 18-135mm lens I bought from Amazon UK with no problems. There was a pop up saying that the serial number wasn't necessary to register. I did add that information, though.

Hello everyone By the way, I agree with mischof67, it seems to me that the whole catch is that Amazon is hardly one of the official Sony suppliers.
Hello everyone By the way, I agree with mischof67, it seems to me that the whole catch is that Amazon is hardly one of the official Sony suppliers. It's clear that we can't say for sure, but it seems to me that this is the case. But this is definitely not a reason to abandon such an amazing platform which amazon price compare/ because they have a large number of other advantages. In particular, there is no unjustifiably inflated price, which is very important for all of us now, isn't it?
