Here in the UK I recently placed an order for the monitor with an independent camera retailer based in the South of England. I have purchased Sony lenses from them in the past and had good service. Their price for the monitor was the best around. They took my money and said it was out of stock waiting for the item to come from Sony expected in in 2 weeks time. I chased it's supply and they have replied today by saying that it has been discontinued and they can't supply it. They went on to say they have made a refund.
Being the sceptic I am, I wonder if they realise their price was too good, or was this something more sinister?
In short, has the item been discontinued in the UK.
It is still offered for sale by Sony on their site, there are still plenty around to be bought.
