Is it possible to set-up that all photos and videos are stored to the same folder and not subfolders by the date. I prefer to back up the data and to filter them by my own, not by date.

As far as I know, video and pictures cannot be put in the same folder.
To be honest, I don't think we'll ever see that happening. The directory structure for video files (expecially AVCHD) is quite restrict.
