Hi,
I just bought a new laptop with USB-C port, and when I plug in my Xperia 1 III, it only charges the phone, and won't detect it as a storage device.
I'm using USB-C cable that I got inside original box.
Is there anything I can do to solve this problem?
Phone doesn't offer me to choose transfer mode, when I plug it to a laptop's USB-C port.
I tried everything, and also change USB connectivity in Developers options to File transfer.
Is original cable that comes in a box able for data transfer, or only for charging the device?

Hello @almirsahbaz,
is it your private notebook or a device you got from work? Some companies block data transfer via USB.
It could also be a fault with the cable, usually it should allow data transfer - do you have any other USB-C cable you can try?

Hi,
I just bought a new data cable (USB-A to USB-C), and it works perfectly.
