Touch Focus on A7 R V

Good evening iv just moved from Nikon D850 to Sony A7 R V  and having an issue with the touch focus function .It is turned on but when touching the screen it moves to where i touched but focus . Focus is turned on in settings . On my Nikon it focused as soon as i selected where i wanted  . On the Sony im having to half press the shutter . Does this work differently from  the Nikon Touch Focus

Yes, definitely isn’t a nikon.

If you want you can active pre-af function, but I find it not so useful in handle operations: it’s slow and always active.
