My phone says new system update constantly. Ill update and it confirms then the notification is back.

Thanks for the reply. No,I haven't. I searched Google play store and can't seem to find it.

Hi @Jenh82, welcome to our forum!

Have you previously updated your device, or is this the first time you are doing it? If there are more than one update available for your device, you will get a new notification about a system update just after you have applied the previous one and restarted your device.

The easiest way to check if you are installing a new update is to go to Settings > System > About phone and at the bottom you have "Version". Write this number down > apply the update and when it has been installed and the device has been restarted, go back and check if the version number has been changed. If it has, a new update has been installed.

No I have not found the solution yet. I tried to download companion app but I have a Amazon Fire HD 8 tablet and I cannot get it to work there.

I received these instructions by email but they did not work either.

I'm sorry I did not mean to send that yet. Here are the instructions I got by email. They did not work for me.

My build number in settings is 41.2. A. 7. 65  the number of the one I have tried to download is 41.2.A.7. 76 

1. Make sure you have enabled Safe mode.
2. Find and tap Settings > Apps & notifications > App info.
3. Tap the menu icon (three vertical dots) > Show system.
4. Find and tap Software update > Storage > CLEAR CACHE > CLEAR DATA.
5. Tap the back button.
6. Tap FORCE STOP.
7. Restart the device.

Hi again @Jenh82, sorry to hear that it's still not installing the update for you.

Would it be possible for you to get to me a in a private message with your IMEI number? I would like to take a closer look at this from my side.

You can find the IMEI if you open up the Phone application and then type in *#06# and to send me a private message, open up my profile and click on "Send a message" in the top right corner.
