Software update system app apk install

Hi there,...

Under system apps, there is this "Software update" app.. and in my xz1 compact, it's version was 3.4.1.A.0.12, then through apk, installed new version I.e. 4.0.0.A.0.11. my question is will I still get latest software update from Sony?..

Yes, I think you should be getting those updates normally. This app "Software Updates", as the name suggests, handles all the updates delivered to your phone. Sony will release fixes or improvement regularly to this app so it will do its job better.

Now that you updated that app manually via APK, wait till the next firmware update is released to your phone and test if the "Software Updates" app will pick it or not. My guess is it will work normally.
