I'm very disapointed that there are no more whitepapers avaiable for new sony devices.
This was one of the reason for me as a consumer to take sony serious.
And also a great help to trouble shoot certain issues with phones from another country.
(customer was complaining that her TV service was not working in europe, without the manual I would have never figured that out that Japanese phones can have ONESEC sat tv)
It is also very helpfull to trouble shoot carrier 4G/LTE channels for those people on holiday.
Now i'm stuck with 4G/LTE channel support on a XZ2 Compact H8324 and a XZ2 Compact SO-05K and I have to view several topics with people saying all kinda stuff, making it a giant guess work.
Are there realy no more whitepapers? Or is it just to much of a bother to release them publicly?
Acording to Sony Support Team there will be no more white papers as from December 2017 (/t5/Xperia-XZ1/Quick-questions-quick-replies-ask-anything-about-the-Xperia-XZ1/m-p/1275787#M1067).
Yes, and they tell me to go look on the website...
I can't recommend people what model to buy anymore, I have Japanese expads asking me "should I get the Japanese model or the global model?".
I can't be bothered to check every freaking sony page in every language, hoping they will provide the answers on their website in a language I can understand.
I don't have time to ask and wait for a awnser from the forms every time.
So I want to know, why are the white papers gone? Why does sony make it so hard for me to recomend their products?
