Hi, i have my Z3 for about three weeks now, but yesterday i discovered abright kind of gap at the upper edge of the display, which is only visible on light backgrounds.
when you look at the display at right angles you won't recognise it, but for example, when the phone is lying at your desk so that you look at it at a skew angle ist is very visible.
moreover the "gap" is interrupted on the left side (on the right side too, but thats barely visible). it looks as if theres some kind of mount or connector is shining through.
Does anyone have something similar? as we are talking about a €600 phone, i must admit that this gap is not overly suitable 😉
I attached some pictures, that hopefully illustrate what im talking about:
Thats easy to explain - Most displays including your Tv and laptop and computer screen have a tiny strip light type of bulb running along the top unless it's a back lit screen then it will be brighter in the middle so this bright patch you see will be more than likely the bulb
ok, thanks for the explanation. so this is more or less considered as normal? im just curious, as my old xperia ion does not have that kind of light strip at the edge of the display, nor does my nexus 7 (2013). at least its not visible.
It could also simply be a reflection as the ribbon connectors are there
