Xperia Z3 Hard reset by itself

Hi

I am in need of real advice.

My phone was passcode locked because of sensitive emails for my work.

When I took it out of my pocket this morning, it had reset itself and was optimizing.

It had reset itself!

I have a feeling it because a pascode was entered too many times and the phone reset itself. (Happened before as the touch is very sensitive)

Or it is a bug and it rest itself which is highly unlikely.

My question is whether or not I can get all my data, apps and contacts back.

I do not have the time or patience to set it all up again.

As you can imagine I am not impressed by this at all and I bought this phone after having had iPhones my all life and was raving about its greatness but now I am starting to doubt that!

Please provide a possible soultion!

Thanks a lot!

Another way to do this is via Android device manager so if someone has access to your Gmail details then they can remote wipe your phone, Another reason I've recently been told of is if you have been logged into a guest account then you will have the appearance of a wiped phone, But no to your question for security reason once a phone is wiped all data is erased unless items are on an SD card or you had them backed up to a cloud storage

Also make sure that the user was not switched accidently in your pocket. Drag the notification bar, tap on the photo on the top right corner and make sure it's your personal user profile.
