Xperia z1 self cracked

Hello,
 I've been using sony mobile phones since 6 years starting from W910i to xperia z1, I was happy with all of my sony phones. It was just another day with my lovely Xperia z1.Got this baby one year back and I was happy with it ever since.Today,I.e., 26/03/2015. I found myself in the worst nightmare that I could have ever imagined. I took it from my pocket like everytime I do and I found my top layer of my phone has cracked and touch pad has stopped working. I heard that Xperia Z1 has this problem and many users have encountered . I'm really depressed about this incident. I have attached the photo of my phone. My warranty has expired just 15 days back.What should I do now ? Can sony help me out in this situation ?
