Xperia Z dead

I've nnly had my Xperia Z a day and it's totally dead. I had a full charge last time I looked and was using it about 5 minutes ago. No reaction trying to turn it back on (holding the power button for 10 seconds etc). I don't have a memory card in - just the micro-sim.

Anyone had the same? any suggestions?

Received the phone yesterday, and encountered the problem this morning.

Put the phone in the charge cradle last night, and when I woke up this morning it was frozen.

This is first of all really annoying, being a brand new phone, but I'm also using it to wake me up in the morning, which it wont when it's frozen.

I'm starting a new job soon, and I really don't want to oversleep because of a SW problem.

Fix this problem ASAP, or the phone goes back.

Same here, have the freeze at random.. one day i had 4 freezes in 3 hours and someday's none. But in the morning its hell because i also use the phone as my alarm same as the person above me!

Note: I am on 10.1.A.1.434 so i already got the update which should've fixed it?!

I don't know why but mine has never frozen once

is it possible it's an issue with some application installed or enabled that I don't use

Could be, but since i updated the phone it did a factory reset and the problem showed up again day after. i use a live wallpaper, whatsapp, facebook en the music app thats included.

Got TomTom installed and GTA Vice City, nothing wierd really :S

I'm getting the feeling it has something to do with Wifi, because the building i was in where it froze 4 times in a short period the wireless access point had a problem (i was working on it). And i do not recall it happenening when on 3G..

I would do a factory reset and backup all your media files to PC then format the sd card and run it for a few days and see if the problem is fixed - if it is then it is some SW you installed is causing the problem

I ran my phone for a couple of days out of the box to make sure it was working correctly before I installed anything, the only issue I had was with the wifi which kept disconnecting and also caused my laptop to disconnect, I admin a wifi network in the condo building I live and went into the router and changed a few things and have had no issues since

I bought my phone 5 days ago and it died. I can not do the hard reset. The phone has become completely unfuctionable. Give me a solution for this problem.

Looks like more users are getting completely dead xperia z's. My went dead a few times but was able to get it running by holding power and volume up button.

Hold them together until it vibrates. Then it should come on.
