Xperia V not switching on

Hi, my Xperia V was working fine until I plugged it in to the charger.Then it shut down and I could not switch it on at all ever since. I've tried removing and putting the battery back, but that doesnt work(the light does not turn on). When I remove the battery and plug in the charger a red light appears for a minute and disappears.Could it be a problem wiht the battery?.Please help. Thank you

Connect your phone to a wall charger > press and hold power & volume up for 10 seconds > let it charge for 2 to 3 hours > if your phone doesn't turn on by then try to repair it with PCC
