Xperia Ion Black screen issue

Hello,

Today, I was charging my phone but my charger is pretty bad and sometimes wiggling it will cause it to stop charging.

Well, my phone died and so I plugged it in while I was out. The screen lit up, said Sony and showed that the battery was charging. After a few minutes, I picked it up and held the power button to turn it on fully. While doing this, the cord wiggled loose and it went black. Now, it won't start or anything. I've tried to reset it (Power Button+Volume Up) and Simulated Battery Pull (Power Button+Volume Down), however, it is not working whatsoever. The LED lights up red while on the charger like normal, but beyond that it is completely unresponsive. I have also tried connecting the phone to my computer, running PC Companion, and repairing, but I get a message saying that the phone is not detected.

You could try to charge your phone using a different charger for a couples of hours. Then try to start your phone by press and hold power and volume up at the same time which is a simulated battery pull (power and volume down till take a screenshot). 

If the problem still persists you could try to reinstall/repair the phone software using Update Service:
