Xperia and Lexus

Hello. Xperia Z has issues delivering emails to my Lexus 2013 GS350 nav system. Essentially, emails come in with garbage text at the front end, that seems to be font and layout information. Had an iPhone and Blackberry before and they worked wonderfully and delivered my messages without garbage text. Anyone has had this issue and found a fix? Thanks.

I'm not sure how you're getting emails in the phone to display in your Lexus but it sounds like something is not handling HTML or including the header. How are you connecting the phone and are you using some sort of app in the phone for this?

Thanks for the reply. I'm connecting the phone through Bluetooth. Emails are transferred to my car through Bluetooth MAP (Message Access Profile) which is giving me both my text messages and emails on the nav screen and read out loud by the car's voice recognition feature. I'm not using any other app, this is built into the phone and car. Text messages display and read fine but emails always start with the garbage text. Previous phones, a Z10 and iPhone 5, worked fine for both text messages and emails. Any ideas?

Didn't know it was possible to access emails using that profile actually.

Could you please send me a PM with the following information and i'll forward this for further investigation:

Name:
Phone nr:
E-mail:

This problem should be fixed in the latest software we have released (10.3.1.A.0.244). Due to market and operator approval this update may however not be available for your phone yet but when released this should be fixed.
