WIFI access problem

Hi.  Have purchased an Experia E.    Cannot access my home WIFI.  Other home devices are fine for WIFI  with the router.   I can also access WIFI at a friend's house ok. 

On 'settings' it seems that the phone is connected to my home WIFI and the signal is strong etc but when I then click the Google bar a  msg says --"can't search the web because there is no internet connection"

Shop changed the phone but same again. 

What on earth is going on ?  Help would be much appreciated.   Mark

I have the same problem and cannot connect to my home wifi although I've successfully connected to other wifi signals.  The thread is no longer active, so is it possible to re-post the possible solution?
