Walkman 8.4.A.3.1 update

A new Walkman update (8.4.A.3.1) will start to roll out today and gradually over the next two weeks.

 

As requested by many of you, Walkman now support folder browsing.

You will receive a notification in the phone about this new update.

If you want to scan for the update manually you can do so via the Update Center application found in your app drawer.

you can try putting an empty file with the name .nomedia in each folder you do NOT want to be included. With the dot in the start. Not sure if it will work but you can try.

Finally even I was using competing applications ONLY because playing for FOLDERS, no one here uses the model by album or artist

I have some song in Simplified Chinese. Even with this newset version Walkman, all song name and info are still shown gabage. But other 3rd party music player apps are no problem which can display Chinese characters correctly.
Please enhance Walkman can suport multi langagues.

I am using Z2 and beats are not as good as I felt in ION and Z1. Please could you add Mega Bass option in the equalizer. I want boom sound please could you do it for us

SONY just issued Walkman App version 8.3.A.3.1. Some functions are added, like "Folder Play" (thank you SONY) but many functions are still missing and old faults are still there. Just some comments:

1) Where can I select what is visible on the Walkman Home Screen (Artist, Album, Playlist, Titel)? This very nice function was available in version 8.4.A.0.4 of the Walkman App. Why has it been removed? For me current home screen is just chaos.

2) How can I select all tracks of a folder for a new playlist ("select all")? Do I really have to select every single track if I have 500 tracks in a folder?

3) Why isn't there a message when I add a track to a playlist and the song is already there ("duplicate track")?

4) Cross-fading between tracks is really missing!

5) How can I change the sorting order in a playlist (by artist, by track name, by album, by "added on date", etc.)?

6) Number of tracks in a playlist?

7) Old bug (still there for months): move track in playlist und function "edit playlist": sometimes two tracks are moved but only one track is selected for moving

Hi Sony,

I am requesting last time for Mega Bass option in Equalizer and I want boom sound in headset however it's not good in Z2. I have heard HTC M8 and Samsung Grand 2 sounds which are far better than Sony Walkman. If you can't do it soon them you will start loosing your loyal customers like me. I will definitely change my phone if I won't get update within a month. Apologies for being rude. But I am asking for the same thing since long. I need quality sounds. Anything else I want folder play, artist album these are Bull**bleep**s for me

Infact I am using noise cancellation handsfree which is as same as other handsfree just option comes for noise cancellation. Try to hear Samsung low set I got in just INR 1900 which has almost same beats or boom sound as same as Z2. I felt that I have wasted my INR 47000

Oh yea, I get the wrong Album cover for some of my songs too. It happeneds to the songs that don't have covers, I'm not sure if it because it code-reads the songs to have the same genre.
