If the update fail or ends in the update process, you might not be able to boot your unit correctly since the update have failed. If your not able to continue or redo the update, you are able to reinstall the software via Update Service or PC Companion.
It's recommended to perform a back up of your phone before you make a software update in case of a failure in the update process.
