The phone freezes when USB connected to Samson GoMic

The apps, or even the whole phone, freezes a few seconds after connecting a Samson GoMic to the USB connector.

Those first seconds, the microphone works with the unit, but then someting happens.

But what happens, and why ?

Hi,

According to the vendor's site, they support Windows and Mac drivers.

Not sure if Android (Linux-based) works out-of-the box...

Please contact the mic vendor and ask for Android 4.x supportability.

The Samson GoMic works, out of the box, on Linux. No special drivers needed.

I have used it, a lot, with my ASUS laptop, running Linux Mint.

So, it should also work on Android.

Humm, not really.

Although Android is based on Linux, it's kernel and drivers are specific for the hardware it runs on.

So, my advise is that you should contact the mic vendor about Android supportability.

It is their responsibility to make it run, should it be supported.

And you can also contact the open community, to see if they have came across such challenge before.

There's a lot of brilliant people out there.
