Sony Xperia Z3 Compacts Problems within one year

I am an owner of a Xperia Z3 Compact, and I am writing to share my poor experience in owning a sony mobile

Just 1 week after I had received my Xperia phone, the front glass panel of the phone cracked on its own even though I had taken extra care not to drop my phone or subject it to knocks. Upon doing a search on google, I noticed that many users of Xperia phones have experienced a similar problem with their mobile. When I sent in the phone for repair, the customer service officer informed that I have to pay for the screen replacement as it is not covered under warranty, despite my attempts to explain that this issue wasn't due to my negligence. In the end I had to pay SGD $140 for the repair.

After getting back my phone and using it for another 3 months, I experienced another problem. My phone would randomly shut down and refuse to turn on. It will then turn on randomly again after a few hours. A quick search on google told me that this was again another common problem, known as the "sudden death" problem. Again I have to send my phone down to the service center.

5 months later, the phone faced yet another problem. I woke up one morning, only to find that parts of the touch screen have become unresponsive. Other parts of the touch screen have become very badly calibrated. Once again I had to send in the phone to the service center for repair.

I got back my phone from the service centre and only got down to transferring my data from my backup phone back to recently. Within an hour of reinstalling my apps, the back cover of the phone suddenly popped open (probably due to the heat from the phone). This means that I have to send it down to the service center again.

My warranty is ending soon and I hope that this phone will not give me anymore problems or I have to pay lots of money for repair. Better to get a new phone elsewhere.

I'm sorry to hear that but keep in mind that this is a user based forum, you will have to contact your local Xperia support on any warranty issues.
