How to check if my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact is genuine?

Another question somehow related to the above one: I'm from Romania and I got the package without headphones. The (romanian) online store told me that this is the way they came. So is it possible that for some reason Sony to deliver the set without the headphones to some countries? I got also the headphones later but not the original ones that I saw in the package.

Yes, package contents may differ according to country or market. I bought Xperia Z2 from 3 different markets, one came with noise cancelling headphones, another came with normal in-ear headphones, and the latter came without headphones at all.

Thanx Quester. That's odd. A package should be the same everywhere with standard content.

In most cases when you buy electronic equipment the only one thing that is (mostly) the same is a device itself.
But even here things may vary. US units have different bands than EU or Asian units.
German keyboards have different layout.
Same car across Europe has different firmware, may have different power response and different components (like better cooling capabilities in southern countries and better heating I northern ones).

It is always wise to verify package contents with manual for certain region. It should have info what is included for that version of the device.
