I am a customer based out in India. I bought a Sony Xperia Z mobile handset (so called Flagship phone) in March 2013. However, the phone started giving mic problems from second month onwards. Your service centers were not able to diagnose the issue with the handset and everytime formatted the phone (some capability issue at your service centers). When I showed my handset again to your service center in Kamla Nagar, Delhi, he said that I have to pay 70% of the total cost of the handset and the company would be issuing a new handset. Further, he said for any further clarifications, you can visit our service center in Mathura Road, Delhi. I visited the Mathura Road center and your executive said that I have to pay 70% of the total cost of the handset, as this is not repairable. However, after my continuous insistence he said that you can pay 50% of the total cost. Further, he said that he will drop me an email within a couple of days. However, I have not received anything from the center (poor customer service). After spending Rs. 38,000 on Sony Xperia Z, do you think I should pay Rs. 20,000 over and above the initial cost to get my phone repaired, that too if phone is under warranty cover. Are you doing business or making people fool. I am feeling cheated after spending Rs. 38,000 on your crap handset. I wish I could have bought mobile handset of some other company.
Look forward to your support.
Best regards,
Rahul
Consider going to the court. There is something called "consumer rights", so if you are 100% sure that it is not you who caused damage / issue / problems to the mic I assume that company should at least REPAIR IT on warranty...
I can confirm that Sony mobile has the worst service ever, mostly because it is outsourced to other companies and due to quality control in China that do not exists at all.
The way the company treats its loyal customers that buy its most expensive phones is very sad
I am sorry to hear about this, however can you please advise us what reason the repair has given for your handset to not be covered under warranty?
