Sony Xperia Tipo - SD Card big problem - PLEASE HELP

I bought a Sony Xperia Tipo for my wife and am having a lot of problems with the external SD card I purchased separetely.

The card is a Class 10 MicroSD 32 gig.

What I have found so far is as follows:-

1. I cannot store any apps on the external SD card seemingly because Sony have programmed the phone to treat the internal storage on the phone as an external SD caed.

I have downloaded many different programs including Astro. It recognises the SD card as External storage but will not allow me to transfer anything to it.

2. I connected the phone with PC Companion. It reads the internal storage and the SD card but will not let me transfer anything to the SD card.

3. I usually use a program called Apps 2 SD on my own phone (HTC Wildfire S) to transfer apps to my SD card but because Sony Xperia Tipo programmed the internal storage as the CD card this will not work for me.

My Questions are as follows: -

1. Is there any method of transferring apps or indeed anything to the SD card without rooting the phone as I do not want to invalidate the warranty?

2. Of what use is PC Companion apart from updating the software if it will not allow apps or files to be transferred to or from the SD card?

3. Is there any program out there that will do this for me?

4. (very similar to 3) Is there an alternative to Apps 2 SD that will transfer apps to the SD card?

5. (Directed directly at Sony) Why did you include an SD card slot in the phone if it is of no use whatsoever to me?

I now have a 32 gig SD card lying dormant in the Xperia Tipo! Will Sony buy it back from me?

If anyone can help in any way to explain what the advantage of having a 32 gig SD card in the handset is, please please help!!!!!!

if i m listening music in my room it really does seems to be quite loud...but in a quite park or a open place i don't know what magic happen u can barely hear it's voice.

i have same problem with my new Xpeia SP bought 7 days ago.. i have lost my data on sd card.. some folders automatically deleted, some folders blank.. on day one sd card wasn't picked by the phone.. any solution or i have to sale out my phone

how to move music to external sd card?when i just move it by PC, yes the folder is in external sd card, but still the music is on internal sd card. help

Thank you! Your reply make us understand to the extent that we can use our SD card only for music, videos, etc but not apps. But what if we want to install more apps into our phone but in case the phone memory and internal storage combined, is not sufficient? Does Sony have any solution for this? 

And (to all those concerned) is this problem only on Tipo or other Xperia models as well? Kindly reply.

You can't install more apps and games then what the phones internal storage can hold.

It's the same on our other products that have an internal storage.

You can transfer stuff, yeah, but how do save things on to the sd in the first place? I have no space at all on my internal and even if I can transfer things from internal to sd it still shows no space and won't use the SD card despite showing that it's there.

Waste of my 8gb sd card :-(.. Internal storage is not enough for apps :-(.. I need to uninstall some old apps and install new apps

Hi Team,

I dont have problem if Apps are getting installed on Apps memory, but how can I make my 32GB external SD card as a default dowload location for Media like Videos, Songs, Files, PDFs etc. at one place.

I dont want to go to the settings of each and every app installed on my device for doing this.

EDIT: I dont have computer/laptop for connecting device.
