Sony Xperia T: Since accepted latest update phone won't charge and just plays up.

I've had my Xperia T for almost 24months now, my contract is almost up but for personal reasons I need to keep my phone on me at all times at the moment in case of emergency.

Though, since I've done the latest update (which I put off for ages), my phone has gone a lot slower. Certain apps will not work unless my battery power is over a certain percentage (roughly 80%). Sometimes, when I wish to use the camera the app will open but then it will crash the phone which will result in the phone turning off. Then when it has eventually turned back on the battery percentage has gone down to zero.

From what I have explained above, I can cope with. But, and this is a big but. My phone died while I was out with a friend on the 01/10/2014 at around 21:20pm, as soon as I got home at 22:00pm I grabbed my charger and stuck my phone on charge. It is now 02:17am on 02/10/2014 and my phone still has not charged. Right this second it is still plugged in (And I'm praying to God that it is charging or doing something as I can feel this emergency coming on!). All my phone has done in the last 4 hours is turn on, get to the home-screen, make the notification tone that the battery is dead (might I add, it's a very annoying tone!) and then the phone turns back off. Then repeats this about 2 minutes later!!

I've tried holding down the bottom of the volume button along with the power button to reset the phone, but not even that is working!

Seriously need to sort this phone out, it's stressing me out (which really is a bad thing in this situation). If anyone else's Xperia T is messing up like this then please let me know that I am not alone! But please, more than anything. If anyone knows of any ways, tips and tricks or just knows what there is I can do to sort out this predicament, then please please please tell me!

Thank you in Advance!

Very hormonal, stressed out, 39weeks pregnant.
