sony xperia L post update issues/crashing when screen goes off

Hello everyone,

 I've had my new phone a week and already having problems with it! Its been fine all week, been playing games, checking Facebook and making calls and texts, but now seems to go into a standby loop when the screen goes off. I've checked all the apps updates and uninstalled and reinstalled several apps, but this doesnt seem to have worked. It seems to almost do a half switch off on its own accord, with the swirly colour preload screen on, but the power button not working! has anyone else had these problems?

Try a force restart of the phone(power button+vol up until the phone vibrates).See how it goes after.

yeah already tried that, when swirly colour screen is on the power button just doesnt work.....I've had to take battery out and restart instead.....seems to be fine for a while then switch itself off again and swirly screen comes back on again

Do you have any task killers?Or phone optimising apps?

no i havent....just uninstalled an app that came withthe phone from Vodafone and it seems to have stoppedthe problem for now....fingers crossed! thanks anyway buddy

no some vodafone secure app.....it seems to have worked, sill see what happens over weekend
