Sony Xperia L Album is not working

Hello Friends,

I bought Sony Xperia L before 2 days but today I am facing problem in Album.. When I open album its showing me blank screen.. There are lots of picture in my cell which i can browers from file Commander but from ALBUM its blank. Can any one facing same isssue or help me on this?

   in my album app i can see a folderes named 'Content cache' 'thumbnail-generic', and filesApp_images. These three folder contains more than 500 items collectively..this has reduced my internel storege like anything. There is no provision to delete these folders...moreover when i try to open these folders it says ' there are no items to show'...i am confused...please help
