Screen locks when I try to call someone

Hello.  Can someone please help me.  When I dialed a number today as soon as I presses the call button my screen locked and when I tried to unlock it it just went on lock again the touchpad was not working nothing

Does the same thing happen if you restart the phone? If it does, I suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion..
