Roughly how much for a new screen, rear panel and frame fitted by Sony? (UK)

Hi,

My screen is cracked and my rear panel is shattered.  My frame is also pretty scratched up but I heard you get a frame with the screen anyway.  I called Sony's UK repair centre today to ask for an estimate for these repairs and they said they are unable to provide an estimate without inspecting the phone.  I said I appreciate you cannot provide an accurate cost from a telephone assessment but I do not need to spend hours factory wiping my phone, migrating to another handset and sending my phone in for 1-2 weeks for you to tell me the obvious.  Unfortunately they said they cannot provide any estimate of any kind and could only suggest I ask on the forum, so here I am.

Has anybody had a similar repair done by Sony and had to pay for it?  I'm trying to get an idea of the cost to decide if it's worth doing or taking a gamble on a non Sony repair centre or even the DIY approach.

I know it's not really what you asked for, but at an independent repair shop in Sweden, I paid 145 GBP for a new screen including the frame and replacement cost. Original parts from Sony and I picked up the repaired phone after less then 24 hours.

If I was you I would send it in, if its too expensive to get it repaired I would DIY, it's quite simple but it will void the warranty.
