You need root, otherwise it won't work. Also the app called SDCARD Mounter (GB ver/ICS ver).

Having these doesn't mean you'll recover the pictures for sure, data that were stored after the pictures got deleted might have overwriten them and you're unable to recover them.

Hi Rishi,

As Miltos95 said , you have to root your device to make the memory from portable media player to Mass storage device . After that you will be able to detect the phone as Mass storage device and can use data recovery softwares to recover the photos.

Check the article on making phone memory as MSD : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1606940

You can recover deleted photos from Sony Xperia android phone internal memory, see this solution: Android phone recover deleted photos

Works for pictures deleted from any andorid phone internal memory or sd card.

Hello, Rishi! I did encounter the same problem. Have you already undeleted the lost pictures from Xperia P’s internal memory? There are some data recovery tools, claiming that they can recover lost pictures from the smart phone’s internal memory. However, for the computer newbie like me, the recovery steps are too complicated.
