Power button is not working in long press

hi,
I'm using Sony M C1904. I couldn't switch off the power when I long pressed and also I couldn't put the mobile in airplane mode and power on/off. Could anyone help me out to resolve this problem and thoughts would be helpful. Awaiting for quick response.

Press and hold power and volume up for about 10 seconds

Welcome to the community,

As the Xperia M has a removable battery, you may need to simply pull the back off and remove the battery for 30 seconds and then replace it then try powering on the device to see if the issue has been resolved.

I got the same problem. Just remove the sim card. The phone will restart and its works fine
