power button bring to lock screen then off

something happened on my phone.

1. the flashlight was registered as on while it was not on and the flashlight icon is missing from the quick setting. I closed all apps and the flashlight is back in the quick setting what happened?

2. when the screen is on and i press the power off button, it brings back the screen to the lock screen then off. instead of previously it goes straight to off. how do i bring back the old way, power off bring the screen straight to off?

thanks!

You could try a App preferences reset via Settings then Apps then tap the 3 dots then Reset app preferences then reboot and test, Take note that all preferences will be reset to default like alarms or ringtone etc

i found the related cause, disabling adaptive brightness fix the issue.

however the real fix is restarting the phone. on the startup screen it showed up "android is updating". so probably the real cause is android updating in the background and causing issue. (i set google play to auto update)

ok, now the back screen has 2 line cracks around top and bottom. i rinsed my phone after using flashlight. so this could be because of flashlight or the background andoid update. before i restarted the phone, the backlight kept on, and only noticeable when room lamp is off.

will it still be waterproof after the screen crack?

i hope sony fix this.

Most likely the phone its no longer waterproof, I'm a bit confused, are you saying that the update cracked the back?

I think it's the flashlight + cold water effect.

I used 20 minutes flashlight intermittently, then rinsed it on cold water. It is 10 degree here.

There was an android update when i restarted the phone. And the thing made my adaptive brightness cause issue with power button

the crack is right next to flashlight glass.

the side glass show no crack line, so i think it is still waterproof.

@aier

but the back has cracks, it's not water proof.
