Photo folders

I find the Sony PC Connection difficult to navigate.

 I had all my photos nicely sorted into folders on my Samsung. I downloaded the same folders from my PC to my Z2 and they just displayed as a mixed up mess!

Do I have to make folders in PC Con and then transfer to keep the photos in the order/folders I want?

Weird Alex....did what you said twice. Photos are gone......

I have noticed my Z2 does odd things like reset the home page, change my screens, etc.

I am wondering if you have demo mode enabled.Does this happen when you connect to charger?

No Alex.......no demo mode.

I was really surprised when all the photos from a friend and my daughter were suddenly there on my phone. This was on the very first day! So I had not uploaded anything at all to the phone.

Can these come in on, say, Google/Viber/Whatsapp/ etc??

I won't bother you further as I will try later to see if the file commander will sort my photos.

I can confirm that all my photos that I did download are no longer on my phone. Very strange that.

You might have seen the photos from other apps but that normally does not happen.

If photos are in internal memory, they'll be unseen when choosed SD card in Album. Try to navigate thru folders in normal Windows explorer and search internal memory for jpgs. Also see if they are gone by accessing external storage with windows explorer. Sometimes missing pictures are sign of defected SD card that looses memory partly, been there with Samsung SDHC and been quite shocked when photos were missing and only movies saved, changed to SanDisc card and no problem with missing pictures no more.
Try if you can if PC companion whipes the potos on import, it also may be the case that after importing the source files are deleted, I don't know, never transferred with Companion, I always copy/paste them thru windows explorer to be sure it's just a copy (bad experience with samsung kies that cut photos quality on S3 when imported to PC)  
If you're sure the SD card is healthy I would suggest a regular software error and reinstall android with SonyUpdateService.

Many thnaks.....I seem to have a lot of problems with getting around my Z2 compared to Samsung.

The Samsung PC software was far better and much easier to navigate and did things far easier.

The photos that came onto my phone, withpout me knowing, are stored in files under the File Commander.

I will continue to play with the phone but so far I am not keen on using it especially when transferring.

ps....my SD card is also Sandisk and it is new and working fine.
