Phone wont start after battery replacement

I was facing an issue my phone was rebooting again and again and not starting unless it was continously plugged to the charger. I replaced the battery but now the phone won't charge nor start! the battery is brand new. i need a solution. the previous battery got puffed up so i replaced it. the phone still starts if i put in the old battery but still have to contionusly plug the charger.

I have kinda the same issue, my phone ran out of battery and when I tried to charge a day or so later it wouldnt charge, I tried replacing the battery but still it wont turn on or charge. When I plug the phone into the USB port to charge it usually comes up on the the laptop that a new device has been detected and it says do I want to transfer files and that it is charging. This does not come up on the pc now and just makes the normal connection noises. Im thinking it's totally gubbed, it wasnt in water or that, but was without power and well run down for a couple of days, anyone know what's up?
